For the first few days of 2013 we'll still be hanging over the edge of
the cliff, but the sturm und drang should be over by January
7th.
All I wanted for Christmas was a trip away from the fiscal cliff--
and the train is now leaving the station.
--Yahoo! Things are far from perfect, but this is a start.

Within the next month or so, I guess we'll see how chastened the Republicans really are. Come early March, we'll need to raise the debt ceiling once again.
ReplyDeleteFor whatever it's worth, Moody's made a statement earlier today: Unless there are more spending cuts, they'll lower the nation's Triple-A rating.
Who gives them the right to call the shots, anyway? It seems to be they've caused some grief in the recent past, as did S&P.
There is profit in uncertainty and chaos. Cover from accountability. While the planet's been staring at the false, man-made abyss, they've been distracted from the still-hungry desire for payback.
